Prunus Collingwood Ingram is a small Japanese cherry tree that has its profusion of dusky deep pink blossom as a main attraction during spring. A compact, dainty, upright, erect tree with an elegant habit reaching an approximate height and spread of 5 x 4 metres in 20 years. The tree’s leaves are toothed and dark green before turning to a bright orange color in autumn.

This cherry is named after Captain Collingwood Ingram, an English enthusiast of Japanese flowering cherries. It is a seedling of Prunus Kursar, and therefore essentially a form of Prunus campanulata – the Formosan Cherry. Its small compact upright shape and dark pink blossom are both characteristic of this species.
